Edge protection using a temporary scaffold system
The roof lights were boarded over as detailed in the image, to ensure there was no possibility of operatives falling through the fragile sheets.
The roof surfaces were thoroughly cleaned using mobile High Access owned pressure washing plant. Removing all loose and flaking coatings.Then thoroughly dried.
SEAMSIL® Sealant was then gun applied into the lap to form a complete bridged seal.
Followed by SEAMSIL® Basecoat before the Sealant had cured (i.e. wet on wet)
Brushing upward to allow the product to make full contact with both the exposed and underside surfaces of the top sheet’s leading edge.
Cut edge treatment - One coat of SEAMSIL® Basecoat applied to a min DFT of 100 Microns fully encapsulating the edges
Following the lap edge, cut edge and fixing bolt treatments The completed SEAMSIL® treatments were allowed to reach a ‘touch dry’ state. First coat of DELCOTE® was then applied via spray equipment
A second coat was applied when the first coat had reached a tack free condition.The combined coating achieved a finished dry film thickness of at least 200 microns.
Post works completion image, detailing the scale of the roof which extended to over 5,500 m2 across 4 pitches
