With almost 18 million Britons tuning in to watch the Royal Wedding at the weekend, pressure was on broadcasters to ensure their viewers had the best seats. Luckily for Sky News, the team had enlisted the help of our AA Access division to help capture the excitement in full HD.

Following months of preparations, our platforms gave Sky News the lift required to capture the big event from every angle. Thanks to our extensive fleet range, viewers were able to enjoy every moment of celebrations as Prince Harry and Ms Markle tied the knot.

Works carried out:

  • Provide 46m access platform for the Royal wedding on Saturday May 19th .
  • The machine was provided to allow Sky News to attach a camera to for the recording as well as a cameraman in the basket.
  • Positioned in the centre of the Long Walk to obtain a full view of the precession and Windsor Castle.

  • T460 with extendable cage and working height 46 meters
