Case study story

Details

We were commissioned by City Response to carry out multiple repairs to a roof on Chesterton Court, Baguley, Manchester.

Works carried out:

Our maintenance operatives gained access to the roof via 3 fixed scaffold towers.

To begin with they removed some ridge tiles that had become loose, before installing some new felt on the ridge. The ridge tiles were then re-bedded and re-fixed, supplying new ridge tiles where necessary.

The verge required some attention as some tiles had been damaged and the pointing had deteriorated. Our operatives removed the damaged tiles and raked out the pointing before installing some new tiles and re-pointing the verge.

There was also a number of roof tiles on the pitch that had been damaged and therefore needed removing and replacing. We supplied and installed 30 new Marley Mendip roof tiles.

The eaves protection felt had perished in parts so we removed the roof tiles to access the felt, uncovering a build up of debris. Our team cleared all the debris and removed the felt before installing new protective felt and re-instating the roof tiles.
