By trade, Niel began his career as an electrician. His entrepreneurial approach led him to launch High Access having identified an opportunity in the growing commercial property market. Niel has spent the past decade nurturing the business to the size it is today with a focus on building a strong team with an emphasis on high service that has become the High Access hallmark. Niel was included in North West Business Insider’s 42 under 42 in 2016.
Andy joined the High Access team when AA Access was acquired in October 2017. Having launched the business in 2003 with the intention of providing a superior rental service for access platforms, Andy built a successful business with clients also benefiting from his knowledge and expertise of more than 20 years. Andy has developed a particularly strong reputation for the supply of access platforms to the film and sports industries and for the set-up of large-scale events.
Adam returned to the senior management team in 2017 to oversee the integration of AA Access and any future acquisitions. Adam is making a return to the firm, and to the North West, following 14 months based in the South East working for Acescott Specialist Services as head of operations. Prior to this Adam worked at High Access for more than 13 years as a contracts manager.
An Investor for BGF, Neil was appointed to the High Access Board in 2016 after the business received growth capital. In his role at BGF Neil is responsible for identifying investment opportunities across the North West. He is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination through to completion, supporting companies throughout the investment hold period. High Access benefits from Neil’s wealth of experience as he works closely with the business, offering support and advice as it works towards ambitious growth targets.
With extensive experience in finance roles in accountancy and across the property sector, Phil joined the company during a period of growth, shortly after securing a £3.3m in funding from the Business Growth Fund (BGF). Having started his career in corporate finance, Phil is ACCA-qualified and leads the growth strategy for the business as well as working closely with the operational team to ensure projects achieve target profitability.
Phil joined High Access more than ten years ago while studying at university when the business worked with Leeds Metropolitan University to design a graduate programme for Phil. Joining on a permanent basis upon graduation, Phil has quickly progressed through the ranks and knows the business inside-out. While helping drive our UK expansion, Phil also manages the company’s day-to-day operations with a focus on health & safety and delivering for clients.
Stuart began his career as a chartered accountant, rising to the position of partner at Arthur Andersen. He is founder of Signia Corporate Finance Limited, former managing director at Altium Capital and former chief executive of Latium Group, a manufacturer and retailer of windows. He joined High Access in 2016 to support business growth.
As our fleet and purchases supervisor, Steven work closely with our team to maximize productivity while ensuring ongoing delivery of the highest quality service in the safest way. He brought with him strong experience from his last role at a highway maintenance company where is role spanned compliance, CMR and HR.
An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Kevin works closely with our finance director providing key financial and commercial management data to key stakeholders within the business. Prior to working with High Access, Kevin worked for a fast-growth SME for five years, progressing to his role as the Group Accountant. He has also worked for DX Group providing finance business partnering across the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
During his career at High Access, Chris has gained experience as both an operative on the field and within our Hale headquarters. In 2016 he held the position of helpdesk assistant before progressing to senior helpdesk. Chris now holds the position of account manager, where he has built strong relationships as he offers client support. He also holds a 2:1 BA honours degree from the University of Central Lancashire where he studied Sports Coaching.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do, therefore David’s role as health and safety coordinator is a crucial element of our business. He ensures our safety first mantra is lived and breathed across all departments of the business to ensure that no matter the size and shape of the job, it will always be complete in the safest way possible.
Prior to joining the High Access team, Cameron graduated from the University of Salford with a first class honours degree in Business and IT. While managing a portfolio of accounts, Cameron’s diligent approach means clients always receive a high quality service. Prior to joining the High Access team, Cameron also enjoyed a career as an amateur boxer.
Robert has been with the business for over six years. Beginning his career as a slater and tiler, Robert has built a strong career in working-at-height. His first position with High Access was as a roofing operative in 2002. He since progressed from a site supervisor to a site manager and is now based in our Hale headquarters where he holds the position of a contract manager within our reactive team.
Dave has been with the business since 2016 when he joined the team as a Contracts Manager at our Slough depot. Prior to this, Dave worked as a tree surgeon for a number of years. Dave has played a significant role in developing the Southern division of the business; helping grow the team and establish the business within the region.
A skilled sales and marketing professional with over 22 years of experience, Ian has worked for some of the largest agency networks in London supporting brands such as Tesco, BMW and Microsoft. Returning to his native home Manchester, Ian joined the business with the remit of increasing our offering to social and affordable housing providers, as well as managing a number of major FM accounts. He also oversees our CSR activity including our ongoing commitments to charities Brainwave and LandAid.
Ben oversees all of High Access’ operational procedures keeping us ticking over. It’s a big task in a company with as many moving parts as we do. He has been with us since 2015 following his role as a facilities manager at Capital Properties so he really understands our clients’ needs.
With over 13 years’ experience in service delivery and support, Ed’s reputation for delivering projects with both customer and supplier relationship at the heart precedes him. Joining in September 2016, Ed has been ensuring that our increasing number of incoming enquiries are handled efficiently.
Chris is the first point of contact for commercial sector clients, site managers and sub-contractors and remains their account manager. Within his role he oversees projects from the inception through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget. Prior to joining High Access in 2014, Chris worked as a business development manager for the north at Steelplan Kitchens.
As we invest in innovation and systems, our tech expert Jamie ensures that all IT systems run smoothly and efficiently – a crucial element in enabling seamless and cost efficient delivery of project management and new ideas.
Based in the Hale HQ, Boris is second in command and Niel’s right-hand man. He can be relied upon to steal the show in a meeting and is viewed by many as the real brains behind the business.
